1) Head Over To Beach

When it comes to summer and spending time outdoors this is the number one thing that comes to many people’s minds (including mine).

Besides having a great time by the beach and absorbing vitamin D, you get to experience a lot many things- you can enjoy a relaxed view, delicious drink, play volleyball or just read a book of your choice. Here are 10 life changing books and 11 manifestation books to read this summer.

If you want to try something else and don’t feel like going to the beach, here are some other options you may like-

  • 1) Visit a Lake.
  • 2) Go to a Water Park.
  • 3) Have a pool day.

2) Plan a Solo Picnic

Summer or not, sometimes all you want to do is stay with yourself and spend some time alone. It is all some of us need to recharge ourselves and feel fresh again.

Planning a solo picnic in your backyard (or anywhere outdoors) is a great idea especially if you want to try something new from your daily dining ruts.

If you need more solo activity ideas, you can choose from these 100 solo date ideas post.

3) Don’t Forget About Your Skin

When it comes to your skin, it’s better to be safe than sorry.

With summer, you tend to spend more time outdoors and that being said, you need to make sure you are prepared for it.

Investing in a quality sunscreen and moisturizer is the very first thing you could do to be ready for summer.

Other than that, make sure you’re hydrated (it goes without saying but I think it’s important to mention as a lot of us don’t drink enough water).

And you can change that using this type of water bottle. I would recommend avoiding using plastic ones as they are not good for you or the environment.

4) Buy/Take Out That Dress

For the longest time, I let my insecurities hold me back from wearing the dresses I always wanted to as I was not comfortable in my skin and body.

If this has been your case too, you are not alone!

I learned these 24 lessons that helped me overcome so many beliefs and I believe you can work on yourself and treat you with kindness at the same time.

This year don’t let your insecurity and fear of judgment let you hold back from buying the dress you always liked on others but afraid of trying them on yourself beacsue you’re waiting to get into the best shape before you try them out.

Start showing your arms, wear shorts and the vibrant color dresses that reflect your personality.

5) Work On Your Hobby

Especially if you have outdoor hobbies, this is your time to do them.

If you are anything like me, we don’t like to stick to one or two hobbies, we want to know what else we can try and that’s why here are 52 hobby ideas I’ve curated so you could do this summer.

6) Create Your Summer Morning Routine

A lot of people don’t like when it’s too cold outside so they prefer to exercise indoors but in summer, creating a morning routine where you get up a bit early (like 20-30 mins) to get some fresh air, going for a walk and performing group yoga can make you feel energized throughout the day.

Here’re some additional activities you could consider adding into your morning routine this summer-

  • 1) Drinking water (well, this is basic but crucial).
  • You could also add coffee or anything you like.
  • 2) Repeating affirmations.
  • 3) Going for a walk and exercising.
  • 4) Following a summer skin-care routine.
  • 5) Reading a book to feel calm and motivated.
  • 6) Skill practice (eg. learning a new language).
  • 7) Setting goals and intentions for the day.
  • 8) Have a breakfast.
Ps- All these ideas are from my personal to-do list.

Of course it’s not possible to add them all in your to-do list but adding a few of them is definitely recommended and doable. If you think you want to do more but you don’t have enough time, here’s an idea you could try-

For example: If you want to read a book but learn a language as well, you could read a book 3 days in a week and learn a language next 3 days. You would do both and won’t get bored either.

(This is what I am currently doing).

7) Get Into Outdoor Exercises

If you are not into group yoga or group exercises, or even gym? You could try working out in your backyard and absorb vitamin D at the same time. It’s pretty convenient.

8) Work On Reinventing Yourself

This is one of the best things you can do this summer 2024. If you are ready to get out of your comfort zone and want a big change in your life, reinventing yourself is something for you.

Reinventing yourself takes time, consistency and lots of patience. But it all pays off at the end.

9) Night Routines Are Underrated

The other self care summer bucket list idea is to have a night routine. Night routines are so underrated.

People don’t talk about them as much as morning routines, I remember the days when I used to wake up until midnight to binge-watch movies and videos. No matter how well I planned out my morning routine, I would struggle to wake up on time.

If you want to get serious about your mornings or find it difficult to have a good night sleep, Start here- 10 relaxing activities before bed to fall asleep fast.

10) Have A Summer Lazy Day

This is my personal favorite on the list. Have a summer lazy day where you will be able to chill out and give yourself a break from the usual routine. It’s a great way to hit the pause button on life for a bit.
