Bacon! BACON! BACON! Always a good idea and perfect addition to so many dishes. You can cook your bacon so easily and without a mess in the Air Fryer to make life a little easier. Here’s how!
Air Fryer Bacon
Can we just dive right into this one?
Place 5 slices of bacon into the airy fryer (you may be able to fit more if you have a larger air fryer). Set the temperature to 390 degrees. Cook for 10-12 minutes depending on the crispiness level you like. 11 minutes is perfect for me where it is crunchy but still has great flavor.
To clean the air fryer after cooking bacon, drain the fat into a mug and let that thicken up. Once thickened, dispose in the garbage. Wipe the inside of your air fryer clean. No bacon splatter to clean up! Amen.
Take note that I am using thick cut bacon which I always recommend buying. If you have a thin cut bacon, reduce your time.
What can you use bacon with?
The short answer is anything. Some ideas include with waffles for breakfast, in a BLT for lunch, on a salad, on top of a cheeseburger, make crumbles for potato soup or eat as a snack.

Save that bacon grease to flavor things like green beans, hominy, greens and much more. I use a small glass jar to pour the hot grease into then put it in the refrigerator when cool.

I dump out the excess grease into a mug so I can dispose of it once it hardens. Then, just remove the basket from the air fryer and rinse under hot water to break up any fat that has stuck on it. Lightly scrub with soap and water as needed.

This looks like a healthier way to cook bacon! I haven’t tried it.

I think so. I drain more fat from the bottom cooking this way than I typically do on the stove top.

I love-love-love bacon, but I hate frying it up. This will be the perfect solution because we know I can’t do without my bacon.

Yea, I have had my air fryer for almost a year and just started to really use it. I also like to cook hard boiled eggs in mine but you can cook all sorts of things.

Always put off cooking bacon due to the mess, but this looks like a great idea. Will defiantly be looking into one of these.

That bacon splatter all over the stove top is never fun so this seriously cuts back on mess!
