Parking Structures

Fees for Downtown Santa Monica Parking Structures (numbered 1-8 and Ken Edwards Center)

  • Operates 24 hours daily
  • First 90 minutes free, with incremental increases every 30 minutes. $20 daily maximum on weekdays, and $25 on weekends
  • Special hours and flat rates between may apply to all lots during citywide events
  • Effective May 16, 2013 the first two levels in all structures, will be dedicated to 3-hour parking only.
  • All-day parking is available on all upper levels

Santa Monica Place Valet

  • Valet parking is available on Second Street between Broadway and Colorado Avenue at Santa Monica Place Shopping Center.Flat rate of $20. Learn more here.

Bus Parking

Effective December 1, 2020, the City of Santa Monica relocated the Ocean Ave Tour Bus active loading/unloading zones to 2nd St between Colorado Blvd and Broadway. This new dedicated zone on 2nd St provides direct and easy access to Santa Monica Place, Downtown Santa Monica and the world-famous Santa Monica Pier.

Tour Bus Parking Permit Program


The City of Santa Monica, in conjunction with Santa Monica Travel & Tourism (SMTT) and Downtown Santa Monica, welcomes Tour Bus Operators to our community. The City would like to extend courtesy parking and use of designated zones within the City to Tour Bus Operators who are certified by SMTT for their contribution to the visitor industry in Santa Monica.

If you are a Tour Bus Operator interested in receiving certification and access to courtesy parking,click here to download the application. Please email completed applications, along with at least one sample itinerary that includes Santa Monica for a minimum of four hours, to trade@santamonica.com.

Paid Bus Parking


Paid parking is currently available in Lot 4 South (2030 Barnard Way). The lot is open from sunrise to sunset and rates vary by season. Please email parking@smgov.net for more information.

Overnight bus parking is also available in nearby Marina del Rey. Advanced notice is required to reserve overnight parking for tour buses and oversized vehicles. For more information,click here.
