Here is a super healthy, super easy recipe that is choked full of seeds and nuts for complete proteins, amino acids and omega 3 fatty acids plus it becomes a meal with the addition of either organic milk powder or coconut milk powder for the non-dairy version:

Easy Breakfast Recipe ~ High Density Homemade Mix

Fresh Homemade Organic Protein Mix…..

I wanted something that I could make ahead of time so it was always ready to eat but especially when I was in a hurry. Packaged foods are just that…..pre-made and packed for convenience.

PERFECT FOR BUSY PEOPLE:

Super Busy Mornings, Snack time, Travel, Backpacking and Camping:

Some mornings are just so busy that I cannot find the time to grind my protein mixture and make my fresh protein shake.

I thought why not simply add water to my protein mix of nuts, seeds and organic milk powder…….it was great, I just had to write to tell you that it is totally delicious! And, of course, nutritious. I was so excited after running the ingredients through Cronometer.com .

I was astonished at the nutritional impact that these particular ingredients have.

This seeds and nuts healthy recipe can be eaten any time of day…..from breakfast, lunch and dinner to snacks on the road, at work or just because.

Plus, since the recipe includes everything but water, it is the perfect food to take camping, hiking and backpacking.

It is a nutritional warehouse. And, you can design your own combination of ingredients to fit your particular likes, plus dietary and physical needs!

My first recipe has almonds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, flax, chia, and hemp seedsplus organic powdered milk!

Here is the Easy Breakfast Recipe for a Fresh Homemade “Cereal” Mix:

~Two cups of Organic Milk Powder Certified Organic Whole Milk Powder (1lb) or Coconut Milk Powder

~1/2 CupHemp Seed

~1/2 Cup Flax Seed

~1 Cup of whole, chopped or slicedAlmonds or mixed nuts (unsalted)

~1/2 CupSunflower Seeds

~3/4 Cup Pumpkin Seeds

plus, ~1/2 CupChia Seeds

and, 1/2 CupSesame Seeds

Optional Ingredients:

  • Raisins
  • Coconut
  • Dates
  • Figs
  • Craisins
  • Dried Mango
  • Peaches
  • Apricots
  • Cooked Buckwheat

Combine the above ingredients in a bowl. Mix thoroughly and place in a Ball Jar. Store in the refrigerator until needed.

⇒Switch it up a bit by substituting Pecans or Walnuts in place of the Almonds.

To serve: Add 1/2 cup of your Fresh Homemade Mix and….and ADD 1/4 cup of WATER ~how simple is that??!!

Just Seeds, Nuts and Dried Fruit:

An alternative is simple combine all ingredients except milk powder and then use as a Seeds, Nuts and Dried Fruit “Cereal Mix” and then add your own fresh milk!

This is a healthy, easy and delicious fast breakfast or snack idea.

PRO TIP:if any of your nuts or seeds smell a bit off with an offensive rancid smell: you must discard them immediately!!!

Nuts and Seeds can go bad from the oils that are in them. One way to extend the shelf life of nuts and seeds is to store them in vacuum-sealed jars or in the freezer.

Gluten Free Nuts and Seeds Ready to Eat "Cereal" Mix

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Organic Milk Powder or Coconut Milk Powder
  • 1 Cup Whole Almonds
  • 1/2 Cup Hemp Seed
  • 1/2 Cup Flax Seed
  • 1/2 Cup Sunflower Seeds
  • 1/2 Cup Pumpkin Seeds
  • 1/2 Cup Chia Seeds
  • 1/2 Cup Sesame Seeds

Instructions

Combine the above ingredients in a bowl.

Mix thoroughly and place in a Ball Jar.

Store in the refrigerator until needed.

To serve:

Pour 1/2 cup of your Fresh Homemade Mix into a cereal bowl and ADD 1/2 cup of WATER.

Stir Well

This NUTS and SEEDS mix makes a complete protein plus Omega 3 Fatty Acids. The addition of Organic Milk Powder or Coconut Milk Powder helps to round this out to be a complete protein. It is great to have on hand for quick meals and snacks.
